The market has become increasingly saturated, with projects competing for the same liquidity and user attention. In this environment, sustainability must take precedence over temporary hype, and projects must focus on generating real value and achieving product-market fit to thrive.
Unfocused, generalist community efforts, while valuable in the early stages, become less efficient as an ecosystem matures. To navigate this new terrain, we must be more strategic, more targeted, and more impactful. This calls for an evolution in our organizational design, drawing inspiration from time-tested principles of effective leadership and structure.
Consider the development of a sophisticated military force. An initial campaign may rely on a large, general infantry to establish a broad presence—brave, numerous, and essential for taking ground. This was the role of our first-generation Vanguard program. The Viction Vanguard 3.0, however, marks the formation of our special forces: a highly trained, specialized corps equipped for high-impact, strategic missions. We are transitioning from a volunteer army to a professional corps, professionalizing our community's top tier to transform it from a "fan club" into a core operational partner of the Viction Foundation, operated by FrontierDAO.
This new structure provides the "checks and balances" necessary to prevent the inefficiencies that can arise from the previous systems. By implementing a more defined framework, we empower our Vanguards to be more effective, ensure their efforts are directly aligned with the core objectives of the Viction ecosystem, and provide them with a clearer path for growth and recognition. This is a proactive measure to ensure that the community, our greatest asset, is positioned to drive Viction's next wave of growth and innovation.
Vanguard 3.0 is a critical "interim" phase in a much grander vision. The ultimate "future" objective is the progressive decentralization of the entire program into a self-sufficient, self-governing Vanguard DAO. This is not just an ambassador program; it is the incubation of a core community-owned institution within the Viction ecosystem.
This future DAO, operated in close partnership with FrontierDAO, will eventually assume ownership of key community functions, empowering its members with genuine authority and responsibility. The vision for the Vanguard DAO includes:
